Carrie King (she/her)

Senior Eating Disorder Therapist / Mental Health Occupational Therapist

Carrie is a Senior Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Psychotherapist and Credentialled Eating Disorder clinician with 20 years’ experience working across public mental health services in Australia and the UK.

Throughout her career, Carrie has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, across both acute and community settings. She has a particular interest in supporting people experiencing eating difficulties and the impact these can have on a person’s sense of self, relationships and everyday life.

Carrie holds a clinical master’s degree in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, which informs her thoughtful and individualised approach to therapy. She places strong importance on the therapeutic relationship, creating a space where people can feel understood, respected and safe enough to explore what is happening for them.

Carrie’s approach is collaborative and compassionate, supporting people to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and, over time, to reconnect with the parts of life that matter to them.

Outside of work, Carrie enjoys being outdoors - walking, riding and running in the beautiful surrounds of the Mornington Peninsula. She is also a keen traveller and enjoys discovering new places.
