Focused Sessions. Meaningful Change
Our ready to respond sessions are focused sessions with an experienced Eating Disorder Clinical Psychologist, to help you navigate the path ahead for your young person’s recovery.
These sessions can be booked in immediately.
What is a Ready to Respond Session?
Ready to Respond sessions are parent-only, one-at-a-time consultations designed to provide focused support in structured 60-minute meetings.
Each session focuses on what feels most urgent for your family right now. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what’s happening for your child, diagnostic impressions where appropriate, evidence-based strategies you can use immediately, and a clear action plan.
Some parents attend one session and feel equipped to move forward with confidence. Others book additional sessions to follow up or as new challenges arise. Support can be accessed flexibly to suit your family’s needs.
Research shows that even a single or small number of structured sessions can increase parental confidence, strengthen recovery support at home, and reduce eating disorder behaviours. They can also help families make a meaningful head start in their child’s recovery while waiting to access ongoing treatment.
