Psychologist
Shae is a registered psychologist with over 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families across a range of mental health difficulties including neurodevelopmental disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, and eating disorders.
Shae has a special interest in disordered eating, body image, self-esteem and positive identity development. Shae is invested in understanding each client’s unique story and does this by creating a safe space and building a strong therapeutic relationship based on empathy and respect. Shae believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is important throughout the therapeutic process, especially during times of ambivalence or distress.
Shae uses a range of evidence-based client-centred approaches to therapeutic intervention, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Shae uses a warm, empathetic and collaborative approach with clients and their families to work towards improving quality of life for each client.
Shae works with children and adolescents up to 18 years of age, and their families.
